This filter restricts sub filters to operate on a range of bytes. The bytes can be selected by using an offset from the beginning or end of the containing subfilter, usually a Restrict to blocks filter. Selected bytes can be completely removed by using the Delete All filter as the sub filter. 

This filter is handy for limiting the data sent to a packed decimal or zoned decimal expansion filter.
